My name is Martin and this is my story. I travel because it is fun and a great way to continue self-education which enriches the worldview and opens my eyes to unnoticeable things, both in the distant countries and the closest ones. Let's get to know other cultures but let's also respect and defend our own.

A few words from the author

Whilst travelling from the Christian remains of Constantinople and the ancient sands of Persia, through the Himalayas, the Great Wall of China and the dense jungles of Borneo, I realized that the world must have its order. Therefore despite my beautiful adventures and experiences I always remembered which culture I myself belonged to, and I also appreciated the beauty and values of our beautiful - White Christian civilization.

Trip to Thailand 2011

By: Martin Malik
All travel reports are translated electronically although minor improvements are sometimes made.

Trip to Thailand 2011 (table of contents)

My trip to Thailand was so long and I saw so many places in all parts of that beautiful country that I decided to divide my travel journals into four separate chapters. That way my reports are divided into separate geographic regions of Thailand.

, Trip to Thailand 2011, Compass Travel Guide

My travel journals about Thailand are:

Bangkok travel guide (and much more about Thailand) – read on: https://www.compasstravelguide.net/travel-reports/bangkok-travel-guide/

South Thailand 2011 (a description of my impressions of the beach paradise on the exotic islands of Thailand) –  accurate description of the region on both sides of the Malay Peninsula, that is both the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea. To read on: https://www.compasstravelguide.net/travel-reports/south-thailand-2011/

Central Thailand 2011: Kanchanaburi, Hellfire Pass, Yrewan waterfalls, Sai Yok Noi waterfall, Krasae cave, elephant riding and bamboo rafting. Article available on https://www.compasstravelguide.net/travel-reports/central-thailand-2011/

The Ancient Cities of Thailand: Ayutthaya, Sukhotai, Si Satchanalai. To read on: https://www.compasstravelguide.net/travel-reports/the-ancient-cities-of-thailand-2011/

Northern Thailand: Lampang, Pai, Chiang Rai, “Golden Triangle” – (Mae Sai and the way to Burma, Chiang Saen, Rob Suak, Chiang Khong and road to Laos), earlier Chiang Mai, Doi Suthep. To read on: https://www.compasstravelguide.net/travel-reports/northern-thailand-2011/

I was also in Thailand in 2004 and described the southern city of Hat Yai, close to the Malaysian border. To read on: https://www.compasstravelguide.net/travel-reports/trip-to-thailand-2004/

, Trip to Thailand 2011, Compass Travel Guide

I also went to Thailand for a moment in 2012 and I am sure that if I travel around South – East Asia in the future I would go there again, at least because of good air connections with Europe.

In addition to the exact descriptions of the places that I mentioned, my reports also include a number of practical tips, personal feelings, curiocities and stories from the road.
